Did not live up to the hype - by Heather I bought this because it's always said to be such a HG powder foundation especially for oilier complexions. As a combination girl this sounded fine to me as I don't think I am exceedingly oily.
Unfortunately, I cannot see the appeal. No matter what base I use this turns me into an oil slick.
Alone on bare skin, I will be proper oily within 2-3 hours. On top of a primer, again 2-3 hours. On top of my most mattifying primer, 5 hours which doesn't seem bad but this primer keeps me matte until I wash it off. I really gave this a fair shot and even found on top of liquid foundations it would encourage unnecessary oil production.
I am so disappointed because of how much it was and have passed it on to someone else. Would personally not recommend. by Isobel I use this product every single day either over my studio fix liquid foundation or simply over a BB cream to buffer out any creases, blotchiness, or brush marks etc. When using this with a sponge it really gives that flawless airbrushed finish and packs down over blemishes to smooth out skin. I have dry skin and it doesnt make it any worse, my only negative is that it isnt a large pan for the price considering how fast it runs out. Maybe I just use a lot each day but I would say I get a new one each month or two at the very least.
Its that one product that I swear by so its worth it still! Wonderful - by Yoshie Bought this the other week and this has pretty much replaced my liquid foundation for everyday wear.
Takes seriously about 2 minutes to apply and covers all blemishes and redness, and doesn’t look at all cakey or grainy. It doesn’t even shift from habitually touching the nose or face area, just looks perfect like skin, it’s so nice and light! Sheer to medium coverage but buildable. I’ve noticed I get a bit oily after a while but just a bit of powder and it goes away. Can not recommend enough! Absolutely love it!
That's why it's a cult favourite. by simplieeme SHADE: NC40 MY SKIN: medium - tan, sensitive, dry, dry patches, redness. This is great on it's own or on top of foundation for extra coverage. True to colour, no flashback and not 'cake-y' Before I had dry patches or when I don't have dry patches, this gave a great natural and even finish on my skin - with or without foundation beneath it. Nowadays I use it to set any concealed spots as it gives that little bit of extra coverage and deters the concealer to move and it does the job PERFECTLY! Perfect buildable coverage for oily skin - by Shanthi (Adore Beauty Staff) I have been using MAC's Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation since I started wearing makeup, many, many moons ago.
No matter which foundation I try, I always come back to this as my trusted staple. It's the only powder foundation that doesn't appear 'cakey' on my oily/combination skin. I use a light, fragrance free moisturiser mixed with two drops of a facial oil as my base before applying this over the top. The finish combined with the facial oil is divine - a very 'natural, my skin-but-better look'. The best part is, it's buildable, so I can always turn up the coverage when my skin needs a bit more help.
